Rockley Public School will celebrate 150 years of public education on SATURDAY 6th NOVEMBER 2010.
The day commences at 12pm in the school grounds with a light luncheon. The grounds will be home to stalls of various types, entertainment and lots of activities for the children.
Memorabilia will be on display in the classroom and facilities will be available for copying of any items of interest in relation to past staff, students or associations.
At 3pm the official celebrations will commence along with the cutting of an anniversary cake. unveiling of the memorial walk etc. Take the time to stroll and enjoy the historical sights of Rockley before joining us at the local sportsground hall for a BBQ dinner and evenings entertainment and dance with music by locals "Pig Iron Bob".
Camping facilities are available with showers and toilet facilities on the sportsground. Alternatively the local hotel and several bed and breakfasts offer suitable accommodation. Bathurst and Oberon also provide accommodation choices within 30 minutes.
This will be a great opportunity to catch up with old friends and renew long lost acquaintances.
